The Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital has begun an indefinite strike over the selection process for the Vice-Chancellor position.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, has directed the university to withdraw its current advertisement and revise it. The strike is expected to affect academic activities at the institution.
